The Payroll Processing and Tax Support Analyst is responsible for analyzing multi-jurisdiction payroll tax data and reconciles calculations, and ensures that payroll information is reported to Federal, State and Local agencies as may be required. Ensure the Payroll preparation and processing is accurate and timely. Including, federal, multi-state and multi-jurisdiction withholding tax payments and returns. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Position Duties Process periodic ACH payments on behalf of clients Process and file validation of periodic Federal, State and Local taxation filing on behalf of clients Assist clients with ACH and tax filing questions Assist in quarterly and annual taxation filing, reporting, compliance and reconciliation Provide the research, analysis and necessary reconciliation to respond to and resolve agency related payroll tax notices Troubleshooting payroll and tax issues, to find resolution Proper onboarding of new clients Parallel reviews and historical validation of upcoming new clients Offer client support when required Minimum Qualifications Effective communication skills; both verbal and written Excellent collaboration skills with team members and clients Detailed oriented is a must Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment What You Have Demonstrated experience performing payroll tax reconciliations and analysis Proficient in Excel and Word General accounting experience Strong technical aptitude CPP accreditation Experience working with payroll tax filing systems Demonstrated ability to remain organized and multi-task Other Qualifications Comprehensive Benefits package (medical, dental, vision, etc.) for full-time employees Generous PTO to support work-life balance Remote working opportunities 401K Matching Autonomy to grow and find your career path with supportive leadership 12-week Paid Parental Leave Inclusive and diverse environment NEOGOV does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, retaliation, parental status, protected military status, or other non-merit factors.
