E-Billing Analyst - Remote (Legal Services)

In this fully-remote role you will become the critical bridge between prestigious law firms and their Fortune 500 clients, ensuring every legal invoice is processed accurately, compliantly, and at lightning speed. • Own the end-to-end e-billing lifecycle for high-value legal matters: upload LEDES files, validate billing guidelines, scrub time entries, and resolve rejections with surgical precision. Your meticulous eye will protect clients from over-billing while ensuring firms are paid faster—directly influencing cash-flow and client satisfaction. • Act as the first-line expert on complex Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs). You will interpret 50-page billing rulebooks, flag non-compliant narratives, and collaborate with partners, pricing teams, and client legal ops to re-write entries so they sail through automated validations. Expect to become the go-to authority on ABA task codes, UTBMS, and ever-evolving LEDES formats. • Drive continuous process improvement. Mine e-billing dashboards to spot trends—such as recurring rejection reasons or guideline gaps—and translate insights into training decks, wiki articles, and quick-hit process tweaks that cut cycle time by double-digit percentages quarter over quarter. • Provide white-glove client service via email, Zoom, and ticketing systems. Whether a GC needs a same-day accrual report or a junior associate can’t figure out why a narrative keeps bouncing, you will respond with clarity, empathy, and a solutions-first mindset that reinforces Williams Lea’s reputation for concierge-level support. • Partner with global colleagues across the US, UK, and APAC to ensure 24/5 coverage. You will hand off urgent matters across time zones, share best practices in daily stand-ups, and contribute to a living knowledge base that keeps our collective expertise ahead of the market. • Leverage advanced Excel, SQL-lite queries, and proprietary analytics tools to reconcile budgets, forecast unbilled WIP, and deliver executive-ready flash reports. Your data storytelling will empower clients to negotiate better AFAs and help firms refine pricing strategies. • Champion compliance and security. Handle confidential M&A invoices, privilege logs, and settlement amounts with ironclad discretion. Maintain SOC-2 and GDPR standards while guiding external counsel on encryption protocols and secure file-transfer workflows. • Participate in monthly calibration sessions with Legal Operations Directors to refine billing rules, test new validation scripts, and beta-roll enhancements in a sandbox environment.
