Payment Infrastructure Consultant Needed for Scaling DTC Brand - Contract to Hire
We are a growing DTC ecommerce brand looking for an experienced payments consultant to help us assess and strengthen our payment infrastructure as we scale.
Our current setup relies heavily on Stripe, and while payments are still operational, we are seeing some early warning signs that could become bigger issues over time — including chargeback pressure, payment declines, and increasing processor dependency.
We are looking for someone who can take a strategic view of our payment setup and help us identify risks, gaps, and opportunities to improve stability.
Scope may include:
- reviewing our current payment infrastructure
- identifying key risks related to Stripe / processor dependency
- analyzing possible causes of chargebacks and payment declines
- recommending ways to improve approval rates and payment performance
- advising on backup PSPs, redundancy, or alternative processor setup
- helping us think through a more resilient payment strategy as we scale
This is not a coding or API integration project.
We are looking for someone with experience in ecommerce payments, Stripe risk, chargeback reduction, PSP strategy, or payment infrastructure for DTC / ecommerce brands.
