Pathology Transcriptionist

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio recordings into written documents. This role requires a strong understanding of pathology medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent typing skills. The Transcriptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring that all documentation is precise and adheres to industry standards.

Responsibilities
• Transcribe audio recordings from healthcare professionals into clear and accurate written documents.
• Ensure that all transcripts are free of errors and follow established formatting guidelines.
• Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to enhance the accuracy of transcriptions.
• Collaborate with medical staff to clarify any unclear audio or terminology as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
• Review and edit transcripts for clarity, grammar, and punctuation before final submission.
• Stay updated on advancements in medical terminology and transcription practices.

Qualifications
• Proven experience in transcription, preferably in a medical setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is highly desirable.
• Excellent typing skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with transcription software and audio recording equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
