We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented OSP Design Engineer with experience in Ocalc to join our team Remote. As an OSP Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and planning outside plant (OSP) infrastructure for telecommunications networks, with a primary focus on fiber optic networks. This role involves performing detailed network design, utilizing engineering tools like Ocalc, and ensuring designs meet industry standards and project specifications.

Ocalc Experience is highly important:

Responsibilities:
• Create detailed designs for outside plant infrastructure, including fiber optic, copper, and hybrid systems. Ensure designs meet customer specifications, industry standards, and project requirements.
• Use Ocalc software to perform load analysis, line balancing, and other calculations required for OSP network design. Implement optimized solutions for efficient network performance.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure designs are accurate, cost-effective, and meet timelines.
• Prepare detailed design packages, including drawings, schematics, and technical specifications, for the construction of OSP networks.
• Ensure designs are compliant with all local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, and troubleshoot any issues related to OSP network design.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in OSP design with specific expertise in fiber optic networks. Proficiency in Ocalc or similar network design software is required.

Skills:
• Strong understanding of OSP network design principles and construction methods.
• Proficiency in using design software tools (e.g., Ocalc, AutoCAD, GIS, etc.).
• Knowledge of fiber optic technologies, network elements, and components.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
