Online Dyslexia Tutor- Barton Reading and Spelling
Looking for tutors with experience teaching The Barton Reading and Spelling System on zoom with after school availability EST.
Opportunity to work with our dedicated, energetic, student-centered team of specialized educators by providing Zoom-based dyslexia tutoring using the Barton Reading and Spelling System from your home and on your schedule subject only to student availability.
We are recognized for our excellent track record of tailoring programs and strategies to make learning both effective and fun. Our services are in high demand, which requires us to add a first-rate educator to our team.
Responsibilities:
ย Meet with students twice a week on Zoom for 50 minute sessions to implement The Barton Reading and Spelling System with fidelity.
ย Develop lessons that are engaging, encouraging, and are appropriate to the studentยs pace.
ย Draft weekly lesson notes briefly summarizing student progress and content covered.
ย Communicate with parents and/or students as needed about progress and scheduling.
Qualifications
ย Experience teaching using The Barton Reading and Spelling System
ย Minimum of 2 years working with students in an educational setting (dyslexia/ special education preferred)
ย You must have reliable internet access and a computer, a Zoom Pro or Business account
ย Ability to write and speak clearly
ย Strong organizational skills and problem solving ability
The successful candidate also must be patient and be able to motivate and encourage students and adapt to their learning needs.
Flexible Work Hours. As an independent contractor, you will receive a 1099 and set your own work schedule.
To support our students, you must be available for at least six hours per week (breaks and holidays are worked into the schedule).
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
