Job Summary As a Nursing Instructor at Concorde Career Colleges, you'll play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals. You'll be responsible for providing active and effective learning experiences for students in various educational settings, including classrooms, labs, clinical, and online environments. You'll also serve as a professional and academic role model, upholding our core values and mission. Key Responsibilities As a Nursing Instructor, your primary responsibilities will include: * Instructing classes as assigned, preparing lesson plans, and course materials as required * Objectively assessing students for academic performance and providing regular and constructive feedback * Effectively organizing and presenting subject matter to students, utilizing instructional plans and learning management systems * Maintaining a classroom environment conducive to learning, setting an example for professionalism and conduct * Proactively informing Program Directors of any student attendance, academic, or behavioral concerns * Facilitating tutoring and makeup work as needed, ensuring and monitoring student participation * Referring students to Program Directors and/or Academic Deans if additional advising is necessary * Enforcing campus policies, including dress code, cell phone usage, and attendance policies Related Duties In addition to instructional duties, you'll also be responsible for: * Record keeping, scanning, and other administrative tasks * Staying informed of current standards related to instructional methodology and participating in ongoing faculty and professional development activities * Attending outside workshops and seminars to improve instructional and professional skills * Participating in student and campus activities, such as Lamplighter nominations, field trips, and community activities * Assisting with preparations for graduation ceremonies and attending graduation ceremonies as requested Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you'll need to meet the following requirements: * Current, unencumbered RN license and privilege to practice nursing in the state of employment * BSN from an accredited nursing school required; MSN preferred * 3 years of clinical experience; instructor experience preferred * Clinical Instructor: 1 year of documented experience in the area of instruction * Theory Instructor: at least 2 years of professional nursing clinical experience * Must meet all regulatory and corporate qualifications and obtain approval from the regulatory board Essential Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Nursing Instructor at Concorde Career Colleges, you'll need to possess: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong instructional and organizational skills * Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment * Strong assessment and evaluation skills * Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Concorde Career Colleges, we're committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our faculty.
