Medical Interpreter / Translator (In-Person, Remote, & Hybrid)
⢠GD Resources LLC is seeking qualified Medical Interpreters and Translators to support healthcare facilities across the Western United States. Interpreters and translators will provide in-person, telephonic, video, and document translation services to ensure effective communication between healthcare providers and patients.
⢠This role is ideal for certified medical interpreters who are professional, reliable, and committed to delivering accurate, culturally competent language services in clinical settings.
⢠Key Responsibilities
⢠Provide accurate medical interpretation and translation for patient care encounters
⢠Interpret and translate:
⢠Medical terminology
⢠Diagnoses, treatments, and procedures
⢠Medication names and dosage instructions
⢠Informed consent discussions
⢠Deliver services through:
⢠In-person assignments
⢠Telephonic interpretation
⢠Video remote interpretation (VRI)
⢠Written document translation
⢠Arrive at least 10 minutes early for scheduled in-person assignments
⢠Maintain a professional demeanor, confidentiality, and ethical standards
⢠Ensure punctuality, reliability, and clear communication
⢠Use human interpretation only (machine translation is not permitted)
⢠Protect patient privacy and comply with all security and confidentiality requirements

⢠National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC)
⢠Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR)
⢠Ability to work in clinical and sensitive healthcare environments
⢠Strong professionalism, ethics, and cultural competence
⢠Compliance & Security Requirements
⢠Ability to complete privacy and information security training
⢠Commitment to strict HIPAA and confidentiality compliance
⢠Must not use personal or employer equipment to access restricted healthcare networks
⢠Must follow records management and data protection requirements
