MBSE Engineer (TDD ArchSS)

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide engineering and research support for Army Science & Technology projects, including but not limited to:
• Research and implement innovative systems engineering approaches.
• Advise the Government on implementation of engineering strategies and methodologies for aviation platforms and potentially ground systems.
• Coordinate with other project engineers on systems interactions.
• Participate in working groups and collaborative organizations to promote and advance engineering principles.

Tasks Performed:
• Provide systems engineering support to assigned tasks in support of Capability Portfolio Executive Aviation (CPE Aviation).
• Provide engineering support to specific projects assigned.
• Assist the Government team’s technical planning to include identification and generation of the technical plan, objectives, approaches, metrics, systems engineering process, integration strategy, verification strategy, and certification approaches for airworthiness and cybersecurity.
• Provide support in analyzing proposals, designs, and solutions against architectural requirements.
• Document design processes, fabrication parameters and lessons learned, and provide technical writing support to draft reports and technical documentation.
• Travel as required to coordinate and conduct project activity.
• Assist in issues related to certification and generation of required engineering artifacts.
• Generate other technical writing/documentation and/or review technical documentation.

Experience/Education:

JOURNEYMAN: 3 to 10 years experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree in any engineering field.

Allowable Experience/Education Substitutions:

JOURNEYMAN: Twelve (12) years work experience or BA/BS degree plus eight (8) years work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.

Security Clearance Required: Eligible for a Secret Clearance.

Estimated Travel: 25%

Location: Huntsville, AL or Remote Potential.
