Descriptions:-
The Sensory Lab Testing Technician will be responsible for supporting sensory testing activities and assisting with the maintenance of the R&D sensory lab.
Job Responsibilities
ā¢ Support daily operations of R&D sensory lab
ā¢ Assist with maintenance of sensory lab (monitoring inventories of supplies, maintaining lab equipment, keeping lab clean and organized)
ā¢ Assist sensory scientists with the set-up and execution of sensory tests (discrimination testing, attribute descriptive panels, shelf life testing, packaging usability testing) including but not limited to:
ā¢ Upkeep of sensory lab panel schedule
ā¢ Panel scheduling
ā¢ Product labeling
ā¢ Product storage
ā¢ Preparation of panel samples/reference solutions/materials
ā¢ Labeling cups
ā¢ Pouring samples
ā¢ Serving samples
ā¢ Operation of laptops and associated data gathering software
ā¢ Operation of coffee brewers
ā¢ Taking care of incoming/outgoing sensory product shipments
ā¢ Submitting samples for concurrent analytical chemistry through LIMS portal
ā¢ Coordination and prioritization of testing based on direction from sensory scientists
