As a Jira Developer, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting Atlassian tools to improve team efficiency, while collaborating with stakeholders to meet their requirements.ResponsibilitiesSupport Jira project setup and configuration for new and existing teamsCustomize Jira workflows, screens, fields, issue types, and schemes with guidance from senior admins or architectsAssist with performance troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors as neededRecommend and implement straightforward automations to improve efficiencyResearch and install plugins under the direction of senior team membersAssist with project migrations within a Jira instanceSupport data migration activities between environments under the guidance of senior adminsFollow defined data transformation processes and quality checksParticipate in testing and validation of migrated dataManage user accounts, groups, and permissions according to established security guidelinesConduct basic training sessions and maintain user documentationRespond to Jira/Confluence support requests, escalating complex issues when necessaryCommunicate system updates or changes to usersFollow established backup and recovery processes for Jira/ConfluenceAssist with documentation of procedures and escalation of issuesDocument configurations and changesContribute to knowledge base articles and FAQsShare best practices with peers and end usersStay current on Jira features and updatesSuggest improvements to workflows or configurationsCollect user feedback to recommend enhancements to senior team membersAssist with tool-related project tasks such as backlog setup, reporting, and configuration supportProvide input on timelines and requirements but not own project schedulesCreate dashboards and status reports for stakeholders when requestedEscalate blockers or risks to senior admins or project leadsSkillsExperience administering Jira (Cloud or Datacenter) and ConfluenceFamiliarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)Basic knowledge of data migration techniquesAbility to configure Jira automation rulesUnderstanding of user/group/permission managementExperience building dashboards and reportsStrong troubleshooting and communication skillsTeam-oriented mindset with willingness to learn and growApplicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informationFamiliarity with JQL and scripting is a plus but not requiredAtlassian Certified Jira Administrator (Cloud or Server/Datacenter)Agile certification (CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent)ITILBenefitsCompetitive pay and benefits, including PTOEducation stipends and referral bonusesCompelling work with the U.S. federal governmentStrong emphasis on volunteer and community engagementOpportunity to shape the future of our industrySupportive colleagues and management who invest in your growthCompany OverviewIgnite Digital Services provides digital solutions to transform businesses.
