This job requires:
ā¢ Covering important local stories and keeping your eye on defense contracts and decisions
ā¢ Offering smart analysis
ā¢ Helping coordinate coverage with U.S. reporters
ā¢ Covering local government and industry officials who want to shape how defense dollars are spent
Previous coverage of national security is strongly preferred. We require our correspondents to independently gather and confirm information, using primary sources, such as documents and interviews with relevant officials.
Our editors value accuracy, clarity and a good story.
