HVAC Bidder/Estimator (Remote- W2 or 1099)
AirTex Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Bidder/Estimator to join our team. This role is 100% remote with the option to work as a W2 employee or 1099 contractor. Responsibilities • Review plans, specs, and project documents • Perform HVAC takeoffs (ductwork, piping, equipment, RTUs, etc.) • Request/comparison of vendor pricing • Prepare complete bid sheets and cost breakdowns • Submit on-time, accurate proposals • Communicate with GCs, suppliers, and internal team Requirements • 2+ years commercial HVAC estimating/bidding experience • Ability to read mechanical plans • Proficient with Excel & digital takeoff tools (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.) • Strong organization and communication skills • Self-motivated, able to work remotely Preferred • Experience with multi-family (100–300+ units) or retail TI • Familiar with platforms like BuildingConnected or iSqFt What We Offer • Fully remote role • Flexible schedule (must meet deadlines) • Competitive pay • Growth opportunities To Apply Submit your résumé and a brief summary of your HVAC estimating experience.
