Role Description
Impact Advisors is seeking a dynamic and motivated Outpatient CDI Physician Education Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving healthcare transformation through innovative solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to client success while making a meaningful impact on the healthcare industry.
ā¢ Establish review methodologies, provider education strategies, and success metrics.
ā¢ Work closely with physicians on change management initiatives.
ā¢ Distinguish compliant provider education from leading documentation and partner with legal and compliance stakeholders.
ā¢ Analyze RAF trends, recapture rates, and provider-level variation.
ā¢ Interpret audit findings and translate data into action plans.
Qualifications
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
ā¢ 5-7+ years in CDI, coding, or risk adjustment, 1-3+ years specifically in outpatient or ambulatory CDI.
ā¢ Licensed clinical background (i.e., RHIA/RHIT, RN, MD/DO, NP, or PA), CCDS-O (Outpatient) preferred credential, CCDS, CDIP, or CRC accepted with strong outpatient experience.
ā¢ Experience designing and scaling outpatient CDI programs.
ā¢ Demonstrate understanding of outpatient CDI workflows, including risk adjustment, chronic condition capture, and annual wellness visits.
ā¢ Understanding of CMS risk adjustment rules and audit defensibility, ability to distinguish compliant provider education from leading documentation.
ā¢ Experience with ambulatory EHRs (Epic preferred).

ā¢ Open to travel.
Benefits
ā¢ Salary range of $120,000-$220,000.
ā¢ Eligible for an annual performance bonus for salaried positions.
