Health Policy and Transformation Consultant

Remote Full-time
About Coral Health Advisors

Coral Health Advisors is a health care consulting firm focused on helping leaders navigate complexity and turn policy and market change into confident action. We work at the intersection of health policy, value-based care, and health care delivery, partnering with public and private sector clients to design strategies and support real world implementation.

We are a small, growing firm that values curiosity, clarity, collaboration, and impact. Our work spans Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial markets, with a particular focus on value-based payment models, population health, and rural health care transformation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an early career Consultant to support client work across policy analysis, strategy development, and operational execution. This role is designed for someone who is eager to learn professional services consulting in a mission driven environment and who is excited to build skills through hands on work with experienced leaders.

This is not a research only role. Consultants at Coral learn how to support clients, manage workstreams, communicate clearly, and deliver high quality work products in a fast-moving consulting environment.

This Role May Be a Good Fit If You
• You are curious about how health policy translates into real world decisions and operations.
• You enjoy learning by doing and are comfortable jumping into new topics with guidance and support.
• You like turning complex information into clear, usable materials for decision makers.
• You are interested in consulting as a profession and want to build skills in client service, project management, and collaborative problem solving.
• You are early in your career and looking for a role where growth, feedback, and mentorship are part of the job.

What You Will Do

Consultants at Coral work closely with Directors and Partners to support client engagements.

Responsibilities may include:
• Conducting targeted policy, market, and operational research to inform client questions and decisions.
• Drafting and refining slides, memos, briefs, and other materials used with clients and external audiences.
• Supporting project management activities such as work planning, meeting preparation, notes, and follow up.
• Participating in client meetings and internal discussions to learn how consultants frame issues, test assumptions, and communicate recommendations.
• Supporting business development efforts, including proposal drafting and background research.
• Assisting with webinars, presentations, and stakeholder engagement activities as needed.
• As an early career role, this position emphasizes learning, iteration, and skill development over independent ownership on day one.

What We Are Looking For
• 2 to 4 years of professional experience, ideally in consulting, health care, policy, government, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in public policy, public health, health administration, or a related field is welcome but not required.
• Strong writing and communication skills and a willingness to revise and improve work based on feedback.
• Demonstrated ability to support and manage project planning using appropriate tools and frameworks (e.g., Smartsheet, RAID logs, RACI matrices, and work plans) to track deliverables, surface risks, and coordinate across teams.
• Comfort managing multiple tasks and deadlines with support and guidance.
• Interest in health care policy, value-based care, and delivery system transformation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Word.

How We Work

Coral Health Advisors is a fully remote team with occasional travel for client meetings, conferences, and team retreats. We value flexibility, accountability, and clear communication, and we invest in helping our team members grow over time.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary range for this role is $65,000 to $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience, with eligibility for an annual bonus.

Benefits include an employer funded health care reimbursement arrangement, 401k, paid time off, and a supportive, flexible work environment.
