Sunbelt is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Digital Special Education Teacher to join our team in providing exceptional educational services to K-12 students with mild to moderate diagnoses.
Job Details:
Ā Position: Digital Special Education Teacher
Ā Employment Type: Full-time, remote
Ā Caseload: K-12 students with mild to moderate diagnoses
Ā Duration: Academic school year (with potential for renewal)
Responsibilities: As a Digital Special Education Teacher, you will:
Ā Deliver high-quality instruction and support to students with special needs through virtual platforms.
Ā Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the student's IEP team.
Ā Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and progress.
Ā Utilize technology effectively to enhance student engagement and learning experiences.
Ā Provide ongoing monitoring and support to ensure student success and progress.
Ā Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other members of the educational team to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Ā Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and participation.
Requirements:
Ā Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Ā Valid teaching certification in Special Education in the state of Washington.
Ā Previous experience working with students who have special needs in an educational setting.
Ā Familiarity with virtual teaching platforms and digital instructional tools.
Ā Experience in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and implementing effective teaching strategies.
Ā Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ā Technological proficiency and ability to troubleshoot common technical issues.
Ā Reliable internet connection and appropriate home office setup.
