Description:
• Listen to audio recordings of legal proceedings and transcribe them verbatim with precision and clarity.
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive and proprietary legal information.
• Use Filevine’s proprietary transcription software to complete assignments efficiently.
• Produce error-free transcripts by applying strong grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills.
• Independently manage workload and schedule, selecting gigs that fit personal availability while meeting weekly deadlines.
• Learn and apply basic legal terminology and abbreviations to accurately reflect case-specific language.
• Exercise maturity and professionalism when working with sensitive legal investigations and proceedings.
Requirements:
• Native English speaker residing in the United States.
• A computer with reliable internet or WiFi access.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with basic legal terminology and abbreviations, or willingness to learn.
• Prior transcription experience is helpful, but not required.
• Attentive listening skills.
• Strong command of grammar and punctuation.
• Speed and accuracy in typing.
• Ability to capture proceedings verbatim as heard.
• Maturity and discretion for handling confidential material.
