The content will encompass depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. An intense attention to detail is essential, alongside familiarity with legal terminology and excellent grammar. In this role, you will process audio recordings while strictly adhering to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.
As an independent contractor with VIQ Solutions, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and benefit from support from our in-office team whenever needed. We offer work available 24/7/365 to accommodate any schedule, and those with weekend availability are especially encouraged to apply.
Skill Requirements
Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription required.
Excellent listening skills.
Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Ability to collaborate remotely.
Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy.
Ability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive).
Ability to pass a background check.
Familiarity with legal terminology.
Court reporting students will also be considered.
Currently, this opportunity is not available to Massachusetts or California residents.
Technology Requirements
