Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at blithequark. As a key member of our tech group, you'll play a crucial role in designing, building, and deploying cloud-based data processing and analytics systems. Key Responsibilities As a Full Stack Data Engineer at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include: Designing and building cloud-based data processing and analytics systems using Java, Scala, and other relevant technologies. Developing and deploying high-performance data pipelines using Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and other NoSQL databases. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data systems. Building and maintaining microservices and API gateways using Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native technologies. Participating in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality software delivery. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team. Leading by example and mentoring junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data engineering and cloud-based systems. Proficiency in Java, Scala, and other relevant programming languages. Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra and Elasticsearch. Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Strong understanding of data processing and analytics concepts, including data pipelines, data warehousing, and business intelligence. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus: Experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Storm, or other distributed messaging systems. Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with DevOps tools, including Jenkins, GitLab, and Docker. Strong understanding of security and compliance concepts, including data encryption, access control, and auditing. Experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
