Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst at Disney, you will be responsible for:


Applying advanced analytical procedures (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, AI) on large-scale, high-dimensional data to inform business decisions.
Analyzing customer behavior (e.g., viewing preferences, consumption patterns) to identify untapped customer needs and undiscovered content opportunities.
Forecasting content engagement to inform procurement decisions.
Streamlining our content release and episode discharge methodology.
Testing marketing strategies to optimize engagement and retention.
Ideating and developing new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both strategic and tactical navigation.
Providing ad-hoc analytical support to partners to drive business growth.
Effectively communicating significant results through compelling data storytelling across the organization.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong background in statistical analysis and AI methods.
Proficiency in SQL and experience in R and Python programming languages.
Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and apply creativity to tackle complex problems.


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:


A Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience working with large-scale data sets and distributed computing environments.
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
A passion for media and entertainment, with a strong understanding of the industry and its trends.
