**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Entry Research Assistant to join our team. As a Data Entry Research Assistant, you will be responsible for researching, entering, and updating data in our rare species database. You will also assist with conservation-related research, analyze data sources, and map locations of rare species using ArcGIS. **Key Responsibilities**
* Review documents for relevant data to enter
* Enter data into careerzynith databases
* Map locations in GIS mapping software
* Check previously entered data for accuracy
* May occasionally perform ecology field research tasks under supervision of senior research technicians
* Perform miscellaneous web and database job-related duties as assigned
**Minimum Qualifications**
* Currently enrolled in a degree program at a recognized institution
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Biology background desired; conservation biology preferred
* Knowledge of ArcGIS and databases (i.e. Microsoft Access, SQL) or other data entry
* Ability to organize and give attention to detail
* Be responsible, self-disciplined, and self-motivated
