**Responsibilities**
As a Data Engineer on our OA team, you'll be responsible for:
* Locating and extracting data from various sources to support analysis, modeling, and project development
* Cleaning and curating datasets by identifying new data sources and collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine the best source of data
* Developing and maintaining automated reporting and analysis tools to support divisional leaders and business stakeholders
* Leveraging emerging technologies and proactively identifying new and innovative approaches to communicate data and insights that meet business needs
* Supporting strategy development and project control engagements for business units and cross-functional initiatives
* Training and mentoring team members on various skills and topics
* Practicing security-aware behaviors in all operational practices and procedures
* Embodying a team-first mindset with the success of our team and business partners as the top priority
* Being intellectually curious, asking questions, and communicating ideas effectively
* Working in high-profile environments with fluid priorities, ambiguity, and competitive deadlines
**What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)**
* 3+ years of experience in a related field
* Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT patterns
* Proficiency with Python, SAS, or other comparable tools and programming languages
* Ability to troubleshoot a reporting database environment
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously with multiple requests and timelines
* Self-starter with a resilient, solution-minded approach to complex problems
* Consistently prioritizes security and protection of self, others, and personal data
* Embraces diverse perspectives, thinking, and styles
* Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
* Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
**What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)**
* Bachelor's degree or certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or other quantitative field
* Previous airline experience
* Working knowledge of and/or experience with cloud-based solutions (i.e., Azure, AWS, GPC, etc.)
