Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Advocate to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Service Advocate for Claims and Appeals, you will play a vital role in responding to routine correspondence and telephone inquiries related to claims or appeals. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying incorrectly processed claims, completing adjustments, and taking related reprocessing actions. Key Responsibilities Respond to routine correspondence and telephone inquiries pertaining to claims or appeals in a timely and professional manner Identify incorrectly processed claims and complete adjustments and related reprocessing actions to ensure accuracy and efficiency Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues and addressing concerns in a courteous and empathetic manner Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex claims and appeals issues, ensuring seamless communication and effective problem-solving Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and company policies to ensure compliance and adherence to best practices Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, staying current with industry trends and advancements Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will possess: A high school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred 2+ years of experience in customer service, claims, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional support and resolution Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry, with knowledge of claims processing and appeals procedures Certifications or designations, such as CPC or CEBS, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customer populations Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software or other claims management systems Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues Ability to work in a fast-paced environment , prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications , including Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong attention to detail , with the ability to accurately process claims and appeals Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to fostering a culture of learning and development, providing opportunities for growth and advancement.
