[Remote] Senior Product Engineer

STERIS Corporation is a leader in healthcare solutions, and they are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to provide comprehensive engineering leadership for their Mobile Solutions strategic plan. This role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing product offerings while ensuring production quality and regulatory compliance.ResponsibilitiesApply a structured engineering design process to develop new Mobile Solutions productsCollaborate with customers, consultants, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to define clear project requirements, specifications, and scopes of workLead subsystem design efforts across structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplinesEvaluate designs for safety, healthcare standards compliance, regulatory requirements, and building code adherenceDevelop technical assessments and recommendations using cost estimates, risk analysis, and rough order of magnitude evaluationsDefine project goals, budgets, and schedules while overseeing fabrication and construction activities and managing subcontractor performance and costsProduce 3D models and associated 2D mechanical and architectural drawingsReview manufacturer quality at key project milestones, document deficiencies, support issue resolution, and verify corrective actionsPartner with Product Management, Service Management, and senior leadership to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions across the Mobile Solutions fleetSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product designs and overall qualityReview and validate manufacturer change orders and associated costsProvide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the Mobile Solutions Service teamAddress technical inquiries and prepare engineering documentation in collaboration with senior management, project managers, customers, authorities having jurisdiction, and subcontractorsSkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering required10+ years' experience in product design and/or project management, with working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building guidelines, standards, and codesExperience working with and supporting manufacturing teams, translating voice of customer input into specific design requirements2+ years' project management experience, working with cross-functional teams to control scope, schedule, and budgetPrevious experience specifically supporting the medical industry strongly preferredSupervisory experience overseeing design teams2D drafting skills, AutoCAD strongly preferredParametric modeling and drawings (CREO Parametric and/or SolidWorks strongly preferred)Previous experience with Oracle and Siebel preferredExperience with ISO Quality Standards and auditing supportBenefitsThis position is eligible for bonus participation.STERIS offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits portfolio.
