About the Role We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Substitute Teacher to join our team in Edison, NJ. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule. We offer the highest pay rates among substitute providers, with up to $190 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments. Key Responsibilities Teach a variety of subjects and grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and achievement Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and knowledge Collaborate with other educators to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: An Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor A NJ Substitute Credential A background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this!)
