Email and SMS Marketing Specialist
About the Role
We’re a fast-growing, multi-location healthcare service company using GoHighLevel (GHL) as our primary CRM and marketing automation platform. We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Email & SMS Marketing Specialist who can write compelling copy, build and optimize automations, and proactively manage deliverability and campaign performance.
This role requires someone who is not only technically proficient inside GHL but who also understands conversion strategy, compliance, and messaging that drives results.
Key Responsibilities
• Write and implement email and SMS marketing sequences inside GoHighLevel
• Set up workflows, triggers, custom values, tags, and conditional logic
• Build and manage nurture sequences, reactivation campaigns, no-show follow-ups, and onboarding automations
• Monitor deliverability and manage domain warm-up, list hygiene, and basic SPF/DKIM setup
• Track campaign performance (open rates, reply rates, booking rates) and adjust accordingly
• Propose optimizations and assist with segmentation, lead source tagging, and re-engagement logic
• Identify gaps in automation and propose workflow improvements
Must-Have Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining campaigns in GoHighLevel
• Strong email and SMS copywriting ability tailored for service-based businesses
• Excellent understanding of automation logic, conditional branching, and tagging
• Familiarity with email/SMS compliance and deliverability practices (TCPA, A2P 10DLC, CAN-SPAM)
• Fluent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently
• Organized, reliable, and able to work independently without micromanagement
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience working in healthcare, chiropractic, or other service industries
• Experience with lead magnets, quizzes, or conditional post-quiz follow-up logic
• Knowledge of deliverability factors such as SPF, DKIM, subdomains, and sender reputation
• Experience with campaign ROI analysis and attribution tracking
Compensation
• $30 to $50 per hour, depending on experience
• 10 to 20 hours per week
• U.S.-based or fluent English remote applicants only
• Independent contractor (1099)
