Dealer Account Manager

Generac is a company focused on outdoor power equipment, and they are seeking a Dealer Account Manager to manage a geographical territory in the OPE channel. The role involves growing market share by engaging with existing dealers and generating new revenue through partnerships and outreach efforts.ResponsibilitiesUtilize internal tools and conduct market research to identify market coverage gaps to generate new business opportunitiesPerform outbound cold calls to promote partnerships for Generac and DR Power productsManage inbound inquiries from the OPE Territory Manager to facilitate potential partnershipsDevelop and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers from inbound inquiries, market research, lead generation, and outbound call effortsDiscuss and review contract paperwork with business owners to finalize dealer agreementsCreate tactical sales plans with short- and long-term objectives for the assigned territoryCollaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new products and expand market shareServe as the primary contact for customer inquiries and expedite issue resolutionWork with clients to develop sales and promotional strategies to drive revenueProvide product knowledge training and webinars to dealer partnersCreate and present channel-specific programs and promotions to key accountsManage initiatives to identify new sales opportunities and expand existing accountsStrengthen relationships with accounts to promote sales of existing and new productsExecute effective launch plans for newly onboarded dealer accountsFacilitate routine communications between customers and cross-functional teamsMaintain and update a list of potential customer targets regularlyStay updated on product offerings and relevant contentOversee and resolve order management issuesSkillsBachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field, with at least 1 year of inside sales or equivalent experience, or 2 years of inside sales experience in lieu of a degreeAt least 1 year of inside sales or equivalent experience, or 2 years of inside sales experience in lieu of a degreeStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProven experience in sales, account management and business developmentAbility to analyze market data and identify opportunitiesAbility to foster relationships and drive business growthStrong negotiation skills and understanding of the complex sales processAnalytical ability to interpret key business metricsAbility and willingness to travel into assigned territoryExcellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences, including managementEffective presentation skillsSelf-motivated and capable of working independently in a field roleAbility to identify complex problems, gather data, and draw conclusionsProven track record of implementing process improvementsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems3 - 5 years of sales experiencePrevious experience or familiarity in outdoor power equipment industry preferredBenefitsThis role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.Company OverviewGenerac is the total energy solutions company powering a smarter world.
