Data Product Owner

Barclays Bank Delaware seeks Data Product Owner in New York, New York (multiple positions available):
• Initiate and manage strong product ownership of data products being deployed in AWS Cloud repositories.
• Coordinate with Data technology and business teams in roadmap planning, evaluation of alternatives, and development iteration of Barclays data platform.
• Manage the cross-team communication and delivery of several projects by understanding business requirements and customer needs, managing changes, removing roadblocks, and communicating broadly with multiple stakeholders.
• Ensure strong business domain data product ownership from key partners across analytics, finance, and other bank partners.
• Define and deliver cloud data migration validation and reconciliation approaches for business domain experts to leverage and drive migration delivery, and proactively escalating unresolved issues along with recommended ways forward.
• Define and deliver key performance indicators and/or success metrics for goals and features.
• Recommend future data features and/or functionalities based on business needs, voice of the customer, and/or new technical capabilities.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend end-user analytical tool sets that enable faster business insights.
• Develop business architecture flows that demonstrate current and future state desired capabilities for both analytical data usage and deployment into operational data stores and production models.
• Demonstrate strong product management mindset, helping the organization to view data as a product instead of as a project.
• May telecommute.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $143,500 per year

Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $164,400 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

This position is eligible for incentives pursuant to Barclays Employee Referral Program.

Purpose of the role

To use innovative data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from the bank's data reserves, leveraging these insights to inform strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organisation.

Accountabilities
• Identification, collection, extraction of data from various sources, including internal and external sources.
• Performing data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis.
• Development and maintenance of efficient data pipelines for automated data acquisition and processing.
• Design and conduct of statistical and machine learning models to analyse patterns, trends, and relationships in the data.
• Development and implementation of predictive models to forecast future outcomes and identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to seek out opportunities to add value from data through Data Science.
