As the Controller, you will lead our accounting operationsâoverseeing the close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing internal controls, and lead audit readiness. You will deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to inform executive decision-making. Collaborating across operations, HR, legal, and other functions, you will align our financial infrastructure with strategic growth initiatives while mentoring the accounting team and optimizing finance systems and controls. A licensed CPA with strong technical accounting background, proven track record of leading financial audit and GAAP compliance, and deep experience in ERP system implementation / optimization will be best suited to grow this function and help guide the company toward public-market readiness.
What youâll be doing:
Own and automate core accounting functions across entities, including month-end close, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report
Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and consolidated reporting
Lead and coordinate the companyâs inaugural external audit across all entities
Partner with engineering, product, and operations to implement scalable financial systems and ERP infrastructure
Design, implement, and enforce standardized accounting policies and internal controls across domestic and international entities
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting and finance operations team
Manage multi-jurisdictional tax strategy and compliance
Oversee insurance policies to balance cost, risk, and partner requirements
Collaborate cross-functionally with clinicians, operators, and engineers to support rapid scaling
Oversee special finance and infrastructure projects tied to strategic growth initiatives
What youâll bring
15+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience, including a combination of public accounting and industry experience, with a track record of leading external audit and preparing audit-ready financials in a high-growth environment
Bachelorâs degree required;
CPA (or equivalent) required
Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Strong technical accounting foundation in complex accounting positions (e.g., revenue recognition, lease financing, M&A/purchase accounting, multi-entity consolidations)
Proven ability to build and scale accounting processes, including establishing close discipline, strengthening internal controls, and driving audit readiness
Hands-on, âplayer-coachâ mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves, combined with the ability to zoom out and act as a strategic partner to the business and leadership team
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across a diverse range of audiences
Experience working with venture-backed, high-growth technology companies strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience managing global accounting teams, with the ability to design effective operating models, drive accountability, and ensure quality and efficiency
Experience leading ERP and financial system consolidation and implementations
