Contract Review Attorney or Paralegal
Job Summary
Looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contract Review Attorney or Paralegal to join an environmental review division. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in contract analysis and interpretation who are eager to expand their expertise into the environmental risk and insurance sector.
Compensation Package
ā¢ Salary Range: $85,000 ā $150,000
ā¢ Comprehensive benefits package
Responsibilities
ā¢ Review, interpret, and negotiate complex environmental insurance policies tied to commercial real estate transactions.
ā¢ Analyze various legal agreements, including loan agreements, deeds, environmental indemnity agreements, condominium declarations, tenant leases, easements, and contractor agreements.
ā¢ Advise institutional, investment, and government-sponsored lenders on environmental risks.
ā¢ Provide analytical support on proposed insurance solutions prior to deal closings.
ā¢ Advise clients and borrowers on risk management strategies, risk transfer mechanisms, and current insurance market trends.
ā¢ Collaborate with clients to develop and propose customized solutions to mitigate environmental and legal risk exposures.
ā¢ Translate technical and legal documentation into practical, actionable strategies for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications/Requirements
ā¢ JD with 1-3 years of relevant legal experience.
ā¢ Senior contracts paralegal with demonstrated experience in complex contract review.
ā¢ Strong contract analysis, negotiation, and document interpretation skills.
ā¢ High level of organization, precision, and attention to detail.
ā¢ Excellent communication and writing skills.
ā¢ Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
ā¢ Familiarity with real estate transactions or environmental law preferred.
ā¢ Knowledge of insurance markets or risk transfer practices preferred.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a niche area of environmental insurance and risk consulting. No prior experience in environmental or insurance law is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. However, a demonstrated ability to review, interpret, and negotiate complex legal documents is essential.
