Commercial Insurance Specialist

As a Commercial Insurance Specialist, you will focus on new client growth and expanding the commercial portfolio through prospecting and sales activities, while providing tailored insurance solutions to meet client needs.ResponsibilitiesConducting inbound and outbound calls to prospect and proactively build a sales pipeline, developing marketing plans to promote insurance offerings, and contributing to the achievement of sales, profitability, and growth goalsCompleting risk assessments and commercial inspections in accordance with underwriting guidelinesWorking with clients to review goals, providing risk management advice and recommendations for coverage, completing policy updates, and documenting required changesConducting policy reviews to identify changing coverage requirements, responding to client inquiries, resolving complaints, and escalating issues as requiredParticipating in events to create brand awareness and developing, maintaining, and cultivating community contacts to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunitiesSkillsBilingualism in English and French is required1 year of experience in personal lines damage insuranceYou hold a General insurance licenseYou are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver's license and insuranceYou will travel regularlyThis role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environmentExtended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be requiredYou will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employmentProficiency in both English and French is essential to the main duties in this role, including servicing and communicating primarily with majority anglophone and francophone clients, groups, and teamsHaving a post-secondary education in a related discipline is an assetBenefitsEmployees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.Company OverviewAs a leading Canadian financial services co-operative, Co-operators offers multi-line insurance and wealth products, services, and advice to build financial strength and security.
