Cloud Migration Engineer (AWS & DevOps)Job Summary:
We are seeking a Cloud Migration Engineer with strong expertise in AWS and DevOps practices to lead and execute cloud transformation initiatives. This role focuses on the migration of legacy systems and applications to AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has a hands-on technical background, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end cloud migration of infrastructure, applications, and data to AWSDesign and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments aligned with best practicesCollaborate with application teams to assess current architecture and define migration strategiesAutomate deployment and infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormationDevelop CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps tools, Jenkins, or similar platformsMonitor and troubleshoot cloud environments, optimizing performance and costEnsure security and compliance across all cloud systemsProvide technical leadership and knowledge transfer to internal teamsRequired Qualifications:5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps, with a focus on AWSProven experience leading cloud migration projects from on-premise or other platforms to AWSProficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or PulumiStrong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.)Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipelineFamiliarity with containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) and configuration management (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet)Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similarExcellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certificationExperience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environmentsFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stackRemoteAbout the Company:Oxenham Group LLC
