The Behavioral Health Technician position at Deschutes County is a part-time role focused on providing both administrative support and direct client care at the Deschutes County Stabilization Center. Responsibilities
Identify immediate needs of clients arriving at the DCSC and support them in accessing services.

Maintain and update spreadsheets and carry out various office management tasks.

Engage in supportive conversations with clients and their family members, both in person and over the phone.

Assist clients and staff in scheduling follow-up appointments and reviewing electronic health records.

Admit, monitor, and discharge individuals in the respite unit, and assist with key operational tasks such as client laundry and sanitizing workspaces.

Coordinate vehicle schedules and maintenance, and order office supplies.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
,
Three years of responsible and relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

Knowledge of general office procedures and methods, including standard office software.
Nice-to-haves
Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field.

Bilingual in Spanish and English.
,
Knowledge of Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and crisis work.

Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing Techniques and behavioral health programs.
