Position: Applications Engineer - Tooling and CNC Programming

We are seeking a skilled Applications Engineer with a strong foundation in tooling and CNC programming. This role will support the development of custom machining solutions tailored to meet unique customer needs. Collaborating across various departments, you’ll work on high-level technical solutions to improve product efficiency and customer satisfaction. This is a direct hire position in the Traverse City, MI area.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Collaboration:
• Partner with internal teams and customers to identify application requirements and deliver tailored solutions that enhance productivity and accuracy in tooling applications.
Custom Solution Development:
• Develop and implement custom programming for CNC tools, modifying configurations as necessary to achieve optimal performance in complex applications.
Training and Technical Support:
• Provide training and support to customers and internal teams on CNC programming and tooling best practices, both in-person and remotely.
Quality Standards and Testing:
• Support quality assurance efforts by developing and validating programs that meet precise customer specifications and high-performance standards.
Cross-Functional Support:
• Work with sales and production to demonstrate capabilities and guide custom applications, contributing to a seamless customer experience.
Documentation and Best Practices:
• Document workflows and establish best practices to enhance technical knowledge within the team.

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in CNC programming and custom tooling applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional work.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in CNC tooling, programming, or similar roles.

• Pay Range is $95,000 - $115,000.
