ANALYST I

The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest State departments in California, dedicated to connecting job seekers and employers. They are seeking an Analyst I to provide program support for various functions within the Document Management Section, including maintaining employer tax programs and assisting with analytical assignments and project coordination. Responsibilities Provide less complex program support for the staff and supervisors of the Document Management Section's functions/processes Maintain the integrity of the employer tax program and accounting system; Unemployment Insurance (UI), Disability Insurance (DI) and Paid Family Leave programs, including the DMS Exercise a high degree of independence and initiative in coordinating work priorities and performing assigned tasks Assist with analytical assignments, legislation, training efforts, generating various reports, streamlining and recommending process improvements and procedural updates Assist with various projects, which involves attending project meetings, reviewing business requirements/deliverables, coordinating testing efforts, including creating/reviewing/approving test scripts, testing validation and implementation tasks with oversight Skills Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities (written and verbal) Prior experience working on projects and/or experience working in performance management environments Ability to take initiative and adapt to change Enjoy improving business processes Ability to exercise a high degree of independence and initiative in coordinating work priorities and performing assigned tasks Assist with analytical assignments, legislation, training efforts, generating various reports, streamlining and recommending process improvements and procedural updates Attend project meetings, review business requirements/deliverables, coordinate testing efforts which includes creating/reviewing/approving test scripts, testing validation and implementation tasks with oversight Company Overview When you turn to us, we have a program that can help you reach your goals.
