Academic Advisor I
UNC Charlotte is hiring an Academic Advisor I to provide personalized advising to students in the Klein College of Science, guiding them through academic planning, major exploration, and career development. The advisor will also engage in orientation, onboarding, teaching, and coordinated communication activities to support student success and foster relationships with faculty and campus partners.

• Participate in orientation, onboarding, teaching seminars, event participation, and communication efforts.
• Use advising technologies such as Banner Self Service, Internet Native Banner, Degree Works, and Navigate.
• Salary offered is $55,000 per year.
• Requires a master’s degree and strong communication skills.
• Experience presenting to groups using effective technology and pedagogical practices is required.
• Preferred candidates have at least one year of higher education advising experience.
• Position is full-time, permanent with exempt status and a 40-hour work week (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm).
