Worship Leader Job Description Our Mission: As we grow in our relationship with Christ, we have the opportunity to lead others into a relationship with Christ. Purpose: This position will be responsible for leading our Worship Ministry Team both creatively and spiritually as they lead our church in worship and praise to God. Status: Part Time Position (15-20 hours a week) Reports To: Executive Pastor Qualifications: • Have a passion for ministry and the work of the Gospel • Have a growing relationship with Christ and be guided by the Holy Spirit • Possess the ability to lead people effectively • Possess a servant minded approach towards people • Possess the ability to organize and plan well • Must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing. • Must be skilled as a vocalist as well as proficient in leading with at least one instrument. • Must be able to work as part of a team Responsibilities: • Lead our church in praise and worship through music, personal testimony, and scripture. • Coordinate and schedule worship teams for our Sunday Morning Worship Service and our Wednesday Night Youth Service. • Assist in planning the order of service for both our Sunday Morning and Wednesday Night Youth Services. • Plan and lead rehearsals for both our Sunday Morning and Wednesday Night Services. • Work alongside the production team to insure successful Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Night Services. • Assist in musical planning for special events. • Recruit and Train musicians and vocalists as needed for the worship team. • Schedule Music for our Celebrate Recovery Service on Friday Nights • Commit to tithing 10% of your income to The Gathering Final Thoughts: We are looking for someone who can fill a role, not fill a job. We are looking for someone who can meet needs, not simply complete tasks.
