Web Frontend Lead Engineer, IKEA Kreativ
Geomagical Labs builds and operates the pioneering IKEA Kreativ 3D+AI app, used by tens of millions of people, in partnership with IKEA. About the role We have an opening for an ambitious, hands-on, front-end web technical lead, with strong Computer Science foundations, and expert Javascript, Typescript & React Web Engineering skills, to build magical UX features, and lead our flagship web application team. As our Web Engineering Tech Lead, you will design & engineer compelling experiences and smart architectures --- linking the UI, 3D engine, AI pipelines, and cloud microservices. In this role you will be expected to: • Be the tech leader of a 5 person global web tech team. • Design, build, and innovate magical UX features for our IKEA Kreativ 3D web apps --- making them successful and loved by customers. • Be the go-to expert for challenging front-end tech issues. • Make awesome software • Make your team more awesome. • Promote wise practices, leading to stability & velocity. • Reliably coordinate roadmaps with distributed teams. • Work closely with IKEA for an integrated IKEA experience. • Drive Geomagical’s leadership principles. Requirements • Strong foundations in Computer Science - degree from competitive university a bonus • Expert skills with modern Javascript/Typescript languages in React framework. • Mastery of Internet technologies & modern web stacks. • Experience with tracking, debugging & performance optimization. • 5+ years engineering full-stack production codebases. • Success guiding 3+ person tech teams. • Proven success solving complex systems problems. • Familiar with best practices of devops, arenaflex/CD and QA. • USA resident. • BONUS: Experience building consumer internet apps. • BONUS: Experience programming 3D graphics. • BONUS: Startup experience preferred.
