Web Developer (Temporary, Part Time)

We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to create high-quality, responsive, and performance-optimized web experiences. In this role, you will design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins, translating design mockups into functional, secure, and SEO-friendly websites. You will work across multiple technologies including PHP, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL, collaborating closely with designers and other developers to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills. Accountabilities: · Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch to meet project requirements. · Convert design mockups into responsive, cross-browser compatible websites. · Optimize website performance, implement SEO best practices, and maintain security standards. · Troubleshoot and debug issues with existing sites, ensuring high-quality user experiences. · Maintain and update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to ensure scalability and security. · Collaborate with design and development teams to implement innovative web solutions. · Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development. Requirements · 3+ years of experience in WordPress development. · Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL. · Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development. · Knowledge of custom post types, taxonomies, WordPress REST API, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF). · Familiarity with Git version control, responsive design principles, cross-browser compatibility, SEO, and web security. · Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail. · Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. · Preferred: experience with Sass/LESS, modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js), build tools (Gulp, Webpack), WordPress Multisite, open-source contributions, PERL/ModPERL experience, and a portfolio demonstrating custom WordPress projects.
