Water/Wastewater Engineering Designer

BETA Group, Inc. is a leading consulting engineering firm in New England, seeking an entry level Wastewater Engineering Designer. The role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to provide innovative planning and design solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Contribute to project tasks and activities by applying theoretical knowledge to real world applications Acquire new skills, build confidence, and learn about the engineering profession Collaborate & communicate with others on project development Advance work in an integrated manner Initiate coordination & discussion of project issues Attend and present at client and public meetings Deliver work products on time and within budget Skills Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering Solid understanding of engineering theory and concepts and their application Proficient in the use of current technology (i.e., tablets, smart phones, laptops, etc.) Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Strong technical aptitude and an eagerness to learn Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Must be able to collect field data and measurements including but not limited to roadway, sidewalk, and utility assets; and perform asset inspections Must be able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds Must be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow) Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation 0 to 3 years of experience EIT (Fundamentals of Engineering) Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D and ArcGIS/Pro experience a plus Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, and Additional Voluntary Life Insurance Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Coverage Medical & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Tuition Assistance Professional Development Employee Engagement Program 401(k) Plan with annual 401k match Company Overview BETA is an employee-owned planning, engineering and construction services firm serving federal, state, local and private clients.
