Job Overview
Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday
The Automation Lead will assist and facilitate case-picking and sorting activities within an assigned portion of the automated warehouse utilizing computers, software, and complex machines; proactively monitor upcoming orders; guide and assign teammates to the appropriate areas to ensure efficient operation. This role will also provide performance-based feedback; direction of work and guidance to the assigned team; assist in interviewing potential candidates; support any specific area of responsibility and, or Team as designated by the Warehouse Manager. Finally, the Automation Operator I must adhere to all established CCCI safety procedures and policies, while multi-tasking and making sound proactive decisions in a noisy and time-sensitive environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ā Operates VPS Vertique Picking and loading software within the automation environment with a high degree of competence
Ā Maintain proper function of certain machines using advanced problem-solving skills, including simple data manipulation and troubleshooting powered conveyors for simple malfunctions
Ā Maintaina full understanding of package dimensions, descriptions, and SKU numbers
Ā Direct work on the floor to ensure efficient operations
Ā Participate in regular housekeeping duties within the machines as well as in the warehouse
Ā Assist in interviewing potential candidates
Ā May perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ā Proficient withMicrosoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Outlookand Internet Explorer.
Ā Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while walking and repetitively lifting 30-75 lbs.
Ā Ability to collaborate within a team environment
Ā Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
Ā Easily transition between different work areas as needed throughout the workday, meeting minimum expectations within those areas
Ā Ability to read and interpret instructions from the computer screen
Ā Attention to detail and ability to differentiate our packages
Ā Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate controlled including high and low-temperature environment
Ā Intentional self-starter takes initiative and proactively seeks out value-add opportunities
Ā Flexibility in Scheduling is required as work hours are subject to change based on business demands
Minimum Qualifications
Ā High school diploma or GED
Ā Knowledge acquired through 1 -3 years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an automated environment preferred.
Work Environment
Noisy and non-temperature-controlled environment including high and low-temperature environment
