Warehouse Associate in Jamaica, Queens

Warehouse Associate Job Responsibilities: We are looking for a warehouse associate to join our team and assist in managing our warehouse sortation operations in Jamaica, Queens. As a warehouse associate for Hailify, you will assist in the evening sortation of inventory arriving at our warehouse to its successful staging. You’ll perform a critical function in owning the receipt, sortation and distribution of routed parcels to our partner fleets. A Hailify warehouse associate will:
• Sort packages into designated sort groups and ensure accurate sorting.
• Work closely with the Hailify operations team to manage the daily flow of inventory arriving at our warehouse to its successful delivery.
• Oversee the arrival of parcels and confirm inventory accuracy.
• Distribute sorted route bags to our fleet drivers.
• Distribute sorted route bags to our fleet drivers.
• Receive undeliverable parcels from drivers and appropriately manage.
• Collaborate with the warehouse supervisor and associates.
• Assist the operations team with fulfillment and quality control.
• Escalate issues to the Warehouse Supervisors when necessary.
• Work with basic functions within Hailify’s backend software.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
Shifts & Work Hours: Warehouse associates are scheduled 3 - 6 days per week, including weekends, for approximately 30 - 60+ hours a week according to their own availability. Shifts start at 3p and end at approx 2am. This job requires manual labor during the period where we load trucks. Applicants unable to accommodate those work hours and requirements need not apply.
Compensation: Warehouse associates are contractors, pay is $18 per hour.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Works well independently and has strong problem solving, time management, and organization skills.
• Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
