The Medical Economics Analyst performs activities to help systems, applications and reporting that are essential to core business processes.
SALARY
The pay range for this position is $24.40 (entry-level qualifications) - $41.28 (highly experienced) The specific rate will depend upon the
successful candidates specific qualifications and prior experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Supports key business leaders in identifying cost efficiency and improvement opportunities through reporting and analytics.
Monitors patient/member access and utilization data against regional and national benchmarks.
Completes complex financial/operational analysis from beginning to end with minimal supervision and strategizes new ways of trending/analyzing data to complete analysis.
Performs in-depth qualitative analyses related to business operations, particularly patient/member access data and utilization, and explains analysis to a non-technical audience of both internal and external customers, including executive management.
Interprets and trends business operations, access and utilization data, and takes initiative to investigate variances, derive conclusions, and identify opportunities from this data.
Supports cost of care initiative tracking, savings, ROI estimates, and KPI dashboards for designated initiatives.
Provides subject matter expertise for current and historical cost experience, cost drivers, and trends.
Acts as a liaison between value-based care teams, operational leaders, and analytics teams.
Utilizes internal and external sources to collect information and create written reports and visual representations for presentation and dissemination.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Bachelors degree in Business or Finance preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience in healthcare or managed care operations, prescription benefit management (PBM) and/or business processes
Expert with PC-based systems including: Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and the ability to learn new information systems and software programs
Excellent data and problem-solving skills
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Excellent business and technical writing skills
Able to work well within a team environment and on separate projects
Ability to effectively liaison between technical and non-technical groups
