Remote Medical Transcriptionist
We are looking for a rockstar Medical Scribe who wants the opportunity to work with a wonderful, talented doctor, in a supportive environment.
One of the most important qualities we are looking for in our Medical Scribe is someone who is reliable, dependable, and on the ball. We need someone who has a strong Scribing background and understands the importance of having excellent notes.
As a Medical Scribe you will be responsible for recording the details of a patient’s exam—clinical history, current complaints, diagnoses, procedures performed (either by the physician or other healthcare professionals) and medical orders given (including prescriptions and tests).
Responsibilities
• Transcribe 10-25 patient appointments per day, 2 days per week
• Be able to listen to dictations and gather all needed information, or communicate if something is missing
• Turn around completed notes in a timely fashion as directed by the Doctor and/or clinical staff
• Occasionally take calls with the Doctor or other clinical staff
Skills
• Excellent transcription skills, as you will be listening to dictations and not present during appointments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
Education:
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
• EMR systems: 1 year (Required)
• Medical transcription: 2 years (Required)
