Virtual Behavioral Health Assessor - Independent Contractor FT
About the Role:
Nova Behavioral Health, Inc., is seeking qualified and compassionate Full-time, 30 to 40 hours per week, Behavioral Health Assessors to provide virtual assessment services as independent contractors. This fully remote position offers flexible scheduling opportunities for licensed professionals committed to delivering high-quality behavioral health services. This position is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, organized, and experienced in providing assessment, counseling and support services in a virtual environment.
Qualifications:
• Active Ohio LSW, LPC or LMFT
• Experience conducting behavioral health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, substance use assessments, or community mental health services preferred.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, trauma-informed care, and person-centered assessment approaches preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Reliable internet connection and private workspace required
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is a must.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct virtual behavioral health assessments, screenings, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Complete psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, level of care recommendations, referrals, and all required clinical documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain compliance with HIPPA, CARF standards, and agency policies and procedures.
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and trainings as required
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with treatment providers and community resources when appropriate
• Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards in accordance with licensure requirements
• Respond to client and agency communications in a timely and professional manner
