Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

About the position The Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist role is a hybrid position based in Duluth, GA, focused on providing technical support and customer service in the veterinary field. The specialist will address product inquiries, maintain compliance with regulations, and support sales representatives while ensuring high standards of ethics and professionalism. This contract position requires a strong background in veterinary practices and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, veterinary staff, consumers, sales personnel, and other stakeholders via phone, email, or mail. • Escalate calls to Technical Services Veterinarians as needed. • Support sales representatives by providing technical guidance, answering inquiries, and assisting at veterinary conferences. • Research topics, prepare reports, and participate in call analysis to identify trends or issues in product usage. • Comply with all company regulations and policies, maintaining a high standard of ethics and professionalism. • Report any violations or compliance issues immediately to management. Requirements • Associate Degree or higher in Life Sciences or Veterinary Technician field required. • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant and/or technician. • Strong customer service background with the ability to balance regulatory compliance with excellent service. • Proficient in veterinary practice issues and procedures. • Detail-oriented with strong technical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Proficiency in Skillifyx Office Suite and other computer tools. • Exceptional oral and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently, manage conflict, and operate under pressure with flexibility and initiative. Nice-to-haves • Prior experience in the animal health industry or regulatory compliance is a plus.
