Underwriting Operations Associate- A&H

This Operations position is responsible for performing Underwriting Associate and Contracts Associate job functions, including processing submissions, collaborating with clients and key partners, and ensuring compliance with regulations.ResponsibilitiesProcess submissions by applying internal software and guidelines, while meeting required turnaround times for both standard and rush requestsCompile, sort and verify information received for completenessApply the appropriate SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) for each task as well as the department Guidelines & ExpectationsWork alongside clients to collect missing data required to process the RFP and/or application for contract when necessaryMonitor submission status and follow-up on outstanding documents to finalizeCollaborate with key partners including, but not limited to, Underwriting, Sales, Regulatory Operations and other departments as well as outside producersParticipate in various projects and team meetingsMaintain and update SOP and reference guides as neededAssemble and revise contracts and contract riders for new and renewing client salesPartner with compliance and finance teams for resolution of contract issuesObtain and maintain Master Data Management (MDM) numbers and corresponding informationReview and ensure compliance with applicable state compliance and licensing regulationsSkillsAssociates degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldStrong verbal, written, and analytical skillsTakes personal accountability and able to complete assigned work independently with high accuracyAdept in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointCompetency in proofreading and reviewing workAbility to maintain accurate records and files within a paperless environmentSelf-starter with initiative in identifying areas of improvement to processesIdeal candidates will be proficient in EnglishCompany OverviewSwiss Re Group is a wholesale provider of reinsurance, insurance, and other insurance-based forms of risk transfer.
