Title: UK Facility Manager Location: Birmingham, GBR Key Responsibilities Oversee Warehouse Operations: Manage the receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations to ensure efficient processes and compliance with company policies. Staff Management: Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Inventory Management: Work with Inventory manager to ensure accurate reporting of inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and identify/implement inventory management techniques to maintain accurate records and identifying risks to prevent stock shortages. Logistics Coordination: Supervise the team responsible for planning and coordinating the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, optimizing warehouse layout and workflow for maximum productivity. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment through regular inspections and training. Budget Management: Manage operational budgets, including labour and supply costs, to ensure financial efficiency. Required Skills And Qualifications Experience: Proven experience in warehouse management and a qualification in industrial engineering or a related field are essential. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities to motivate and guide staff effectively. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle various aspects of warehouse operations simultaneously & associated reporting. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Office365/sharepoint, warehouse management systems and inventory software. Optional – Experience in an IT technical role Deliverables Generate daily, weekly & monthly operational reports Maintain and update process documentation as required min. annual review. Act as point of escalation for any of the warehouse deliverables Adhoc tasks inc. procurement of materials or project inventory to complete warehouse activities.
