Job Purpose
The TSA and Cargo Security Coordinator will support U.S. locations with cargo security, TSA IAC regulation requirements, CTPAT, and monitor security best practices for the company. The TSA and Cargo Security coordinator will function as a member of the Regulatory compliance team and will report to the Security Officer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
ย Support US TSA Compliance Program
ย Perform internal TSA and cargo security audits using internal shipping management system, validating KSMS and known shipper status
ย Report site TSA compliance bi-monthly using the metrics scorecard and communicate up/down to line management of compliance status
ย Manage TSA and Security training program for multiple facilities
ย Oversee STA applications submittals for multiple facilities
ย Provide daily guidance on known shipper information and shipper IAC processes
ย Reports and escalate security issues, emergency situations, and TSA inspections in a timely manner
ย Support completion of facility security and safety inspections
ย Some travel will be required ย 20%
Requirements:
ย Bachelorยs degree from a 4-yr college or university equivalent business experience
ย Minimum 3-5 years related industry experience
ย Computer skills in Microsoft office products (Excel, word, PowerPoint) and Outlook
ย Ability to present and conduct training to large groups
ย Individuals for this role should have strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Individuals must be respectful of others and be well respected by their peers
ย The Individual should be comfortable working independently and be able to manage multiple activities occurring simultaneously
ย Strong knowledge of US and international cargo security programs and best practices
ย Strong knowledge of TSA requirements, screening facility management, and TAPA
ย Ability to read and interpret complex TSA regulations, laws, and concepts with reasonable ease
ย Ability to anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for contingencies
ย Familiarity with the KSMS website. Familiarity with veroot website a plus
