About the position

The Truck Control Agent at Federal Express Corporation plays a crucial role in managing the flow of vehicle information and coordinating the movement of trucks within the operational framework. This position involves tracking both inbound and outbound truck routes, ensuring that vehicle movements are executed efficiently and effectively. The Truck Control Agent will work closely with managers and employees to plan offloading, onloading, and departures, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and on schedule. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced, noisy environment. The agent will also be responsible for performing other duties as assigned, which may vary based on operational needs. The work schedule for this position is from Sunday to Thursday, with shifts running from 17:45 to 00:15. This timing is critical as it aligns with the operational hours of the facility, ensuring that all truck movements are monitored and coordinated during peak hours. The Truck Control Agent must maintain a constant state of alertness and work in a safe manner, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. This position is classified as a non-covered safety-sensitive role, which means that while it is important to maintain safety standards, it does not fall under the same regulations as other safety-sensitive positions.

Responsibilities
• Track inbound and outbound truck routes.

Requirements
• One (1) year of FedEx experience.
,
• Ability to type and operate office equipment such as CRT, copier, radio, data communication, and personal computer.

• Good human relations and communication skills.
,
• Ability to communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner in a noisy operations environment.
,
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages weighing more than 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
